Iv'e had a vx8300 for a while now and bitpim as been working just fine, then the camera broke on my phone. Seeing as how it was still under the 1 year LG warranty i brought it to a verizon store and got a new one. only problem is, now bitpim wont work, it gives me an "Access to the file/directory has been block by the service provider" error. I did get past this once, rather randomly and i got about half of my data on to my phone before it booted me out. My question is,did verizon recently update ther firmware on the 8300's? and if so does anyone ahve a work around?
Thanks in advance,
Greg

Get LG Download and the 8300 DLL the get copy of V03 and under. I use V01. Verizons main aim is to block all outside content like that.

that is not all verizon is doing they work with lg on sw and if you go back to the 01 sw you are in for possible trouble ie random shut downs

I no longer have this phone but I believe you can follow the vx8500 workaround. ( download the file off the phone and hex edit)
