I just got a t-mobile phone Thursday. It's a Motorola W490. I'm having problems with the text messaging. It seems like it has "selective" text messaging. It will only send some text messages and my friends have told me they sometimes can't send text messages to me. It's weird! It can't be the signal because it can be very strong and still tell "message cannot be sent". Does anybody know what the problem could be?

Are you turning your phone off and on daily?

I've had t-mobile for just about a year and a half and have two lines of service. One sidekick and one razr. I have had texting issues on both lines and on multiple different types of phones on each line. When I call t-moble says that everything is working fine. However I know some of my text messages never reach the recipient, and there are many times when text messages sent to me never arrive. Of course it works anytime I go into the t-mobile store and try to show them whats wrong with it. I will be changing carriers as soon as my contract is up

I know if you do not power cycle your phone daily it can get "lost" in the network and that causes problems with messaging.
