I hav an N3110 Classic. Its supposd 2 hav arnd 8.5 MB of user memory on phone.
Memory status says:
Free mem=3.2 MB
Used=4.8MB
Gallery=2.6
Messaging=599KB
Apps=1.6MB
Bookmarks=1KB.

BUT adding up stuff from the gallery comes 2 2.05 MB and even d messaging adds up2 438KB. So quite some memoryis being wasted somewhere. How do i get it back?

Thanx

It'd be much better if you type in proper English. It's very annoying to read SMS language not in an SMS.

To answer your question, my guess is that there are some record files not shown to you. Perhaps to keep track of the gallery files, message files, etc. To get more space, delete what you don't need.

Well, sorry about the English. I have also tried browsing the phone using MobiMB Media Browser and i didn't find anything more except a temporary themes folder which stores the current theme contents in extracted form. I was trying to find an alternative to "deleting what i don't need".not much in the phone memory except pre-installed stuff and my smses.

maybe ur phone was attack by a virus,,
some viruses "eat" some memory, both phone or card memory.
