I just recieved a used sidekick 3.
I plugged it in for the first time, and let it sit for a while like it said too (4 hours)
it's now been plugged in for 8 hours, and the orange light is still on saying that it's charging.but it won't even turn on.
do i need to wait for the full charge in order to turn it on?

No. Normally as soon as they havee enough power they turn on. Do you have the battery properly inserted?

yes, it goes in perfectly. There is no water damage or anything. Simply will not turn on.

Return it. It sounds like it is a first generation sidekick 3, which had a charging issue.
