Verizon sent me a Voyager in trade for my enV Tuesday and it is an awesome phone so far. The touch screen capabilities are oustanding. I love how it prompts me when I receive a new email.
The clarity is amazing, I can hear a lot better on the Voyager. Texting capable from the front. The LG Voyager has got the attention it deserves. The only downfall to the Voyager is that Verizon had not ordered enough from LG, so the minor setback is that there is not very many on hand right now. So quantities are limited and I would advise anyone that is thinking of getting one, to do so before the stock is depleted.

Hey Altair1066, not to pick on you for details, but your comment about verizon not requiring the LG Voyager to have a data pkg is a bit off base. What do you think the Vcast pkg is? It's a data pkg. Before I buy one I was told I have to change my plan (which is currently a select family share plan) to their new natl plans. Which would cost me MORE than I'm paying now since I would have to add the Vcast to ALL my lines to avoid MB chrgs! So in reality to have that phone would cost me at least $15 (x4) to even have the phone!

In order to save money you would want to go on the Nationwide Premium Family Share plan. It would include unlimited Data for all lines, VZnavigator, VPACK, and Unlimited Texting. But if you are on the America's Choice pricing and have no reason to go to Nationwide, then I would advise you to stay on America's Choice.

To start out I am pleased with this phone overall. however I am not a huge fan of the autolocking outside screen. What I mean is, when you open the phone then close it, it auto locks the screen everytime no matter if you choose the auto lock "off" from the setting menu. I also don't like the fact that the number pad dissapears after you press the send button on a call especially when you dial voicemail. You are required to 1. unlock the phone then 2. touch the screen to get the keypad to reappear, all in an effort to be able to enter you pin to get a simple VM. This is also the case if you need to enter any #'s after you place a call(i.e. credit card info or menu options). The other option is to open the phone to use the keypad wich is fine but then you have to use the speaker wich is not always appropriate. I have also had itermittent issues with the touch screen "falling into a short coma" it will, for no reason just not respond. I have found this is corrected in most cases by opening the phone then closing it again. I will be in to Verisonwireless to speak to a tech. just to be sure my phone isn't just a having an isolated problem. I would love to hear anyone elses thoughts. Thanks.

The Voyager is "the best phone for the buck" at verizon. As previously stated, you dont have to get the unlimited data package and still enjoy a full html browser. mobile tv, vcast, vzNav, and a 2.0mp camera.not to mention Touch screen.
Dont forget to pick the Premuim package with this phone. Instead of paying for each feature the premuim plan gives you vcast, text, pic, and video, vznav, email, and internet TOTALLY UNLIMITED!

The Voyager is surely a unique device on the network, and will be for a little while. Hopefully with the open access that is rumoured to take place will spur manufacturers to fashion CDMA versions of better devices like the Viewty. Vodafone U.S. roaming is costly, it'd be nice to run it on VZW.

Sounds to me like all of you work for Verizon. I stopped by the V store the other day just to play with that phone. I really thought it felt cheap and plastic. Checking your voicemail was a pain. If you are used to using the phones keypad for texting then you will like that feature but from someone that uses the Q or the Treo, having to open the phone and text is more steps. I just thought that is was cheap.
I have a Treo and the Q on my plans and right now don't have either one of them on a data plan. I did for a while but the cost was just stupid. I found out that I really did not need on the internet that bad. From my phone anyway.

Acutually. You can text from the outside without flipping it open. Its fully functional from the touch screen.
