No lag at all. Zero lag. I know exactly what you mean.
My wife is in love with her Voyager.
We are not Verizon employees, in fact, I don't like VZW at all.
Cheap? Hardly. Feels like a freaking tank to me. I'd rather have it "plasticy" and light then to weigh as much as brick.
"Opening the phone is one more step" Please. Lame excuse not to like it. That's one of the things my wife LOVES about it. She can use it closed or open and it's fully functional. She loves having the option of using a real keyboard. I have a Q. Job pays my data plan, and having the internet on your phone is very handy.
The Q is nice, but not as cool as this thing.
Better then an iPhone. I like the iPhone for the internet, no phone does internet better, but having the option of a real keyboard is miles above the iPhone.
She isn't in love with the autolock, but she will never pocket dial me like I am sure that dude does (and I do all the time) with his Treo and Q.
The phone itself is awesome. Clairty the best I've ever heard on a cell.
It's even a pretty good music player, even if it is Vcast. My wife uses it daily at her job. She loves the touch controls for music, the way texting works on the touch screen deleting and opening texts, the flip open keyboad when she replies to texts.
My only complaint (and imo a big one) is that you can't use your own MP3's as ringtones. This is totally unacceptable to me (as I will post about in the Voyager ringtone thread).
/EDIT/ BITPIM works for adding your own MP3's as ringtones.

Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has figured out a way to stop automatic text input when typing on the keyboard. It doesn't do it for any words except one, but that word begins with quotations - so whenever i put in a quote mark, it puts in the whole phrase. It only does this on the inner keyboard though. Any ideas?

Is there a way to assign text tones to different people as on the V and enV? I only see how to do ringtones for the call, not text.

No, not for texting alerts individual per contact. Lame, I know, as this is a very wanted feature.

I dunno I am going to be the debbie downer here and point out some negatives to this phone. The Vcast music upload thing does not play nice with macs and for some retarded reason verizon locks down alot of the bluetooth funcionality for file transfer you need to use a program like bitpim to transfer media and what not via bluetooth or usb cable effectively. That is assuming you want to place something like a song or video into the prettier vcast folders.

Right, VZW does lock a lot of transferring. And Bitpim is one of the best programs out there for partnering with other software to make your own tones/music. I'm a downer on the phone, too. I think it needs a better screen (like 16 million color) and needs to be a smartphone. Maybe if the demand in the U.S. picks up.

Go online to the website, sign in and see how much it comes to when you utilize your upgrade. That's what you should pay at a store, only it's charged more at a store in exchange for a mail-in rebate.
