I'm hearing that the touch screen will accept ANY touch, like a stylus. That can be good or bad.

| Quote: | - Stylish and functional design with two screens, including a large 2.8-inch external touch-screen with VibeTouch technology for tactile feedback
- Touch protection - prevents unwanted key actions
- Ability to play MP3, WMA, and unprotected AAC and AAC+ files
- HTML browser for enhanced Internet browsing Bluetooth® stereo for headsets and speakers |
I'm hoping this actually works well.

Yes. The key switch on the side still gets me. You can unlock the phone with either the screen tap or physical lock switch.
Why have both? I was hoping that the physical lock override the screen one. What I hear it doesn't.

The hands-on review at engadget showed the touch screen worked well, but not as well as some of the competitions touch-screens. I just wish there was the capability to turn the full touch outside into a qwerty keyboard for text messages, not just mobile web. The camera works pretty clean, though (for the U.S. standards).

Correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure that you can use the outside touch screen as a keyboard aswell. the flip open ENV like keyboard is just 4 onces who prefer typing with that over touch screen

Just as a couple words of advice to anyone looking to upgrade to the new LG Voyager for their Verizon Wireless service. This is a fantastic device. If anyone reading this is normally an advanced device user (Motorola Q, etc) but likes it more or less just for the expanded features, then the Voyager is for you. Why you may ask? The Voyager is the closest device VZW offers to a Smartphone/PDA that does not *** I REPEAT DOES NOT *** require an unlimited data package ($44.99) per month. This is currently one of the only devices that you can get full HTML web browsing and only need the $15 Vcast Vpak to give you the unlimited usage. Beyond that, the touch screen is extremely well responsive w/vibration feedback. The phone also hooks up to your pc via USB to transfer music AND DATA RELATED ITEMS directly to the phone. The price tag is a little higher around $300 on a 2yr upgrade, but you will be happy with the capabilities this phone offers. I work for VZW, feel free if you have any questions to ask!

In response to Altair 1066, you are 100% right on concerning the vx10000 voyager. I purchased mine this past wednesday at the main store in central Arkansas around 9:00am. And I will say that this is one of the coolest devices ive seen. Not considered a PDA, but for my money, just about as capable. I was amazed at the crystal clear voice clarity alone, not to mention that I could not hear any static or hiss in the earpiece whatsoever!. The exterior touch screen is very responsive and quick, and the sensitivity is even adjustable if so desired. The interior screen is not far from being as large as the exterior one, and the resolution is brilliant on both. I personally like the black background that seems to be standard on all the menu screens, and the text and pictures really "pop" with it. The 'touch scrolling' on the exterior screen took me some getting used to, but when mastered, it's a really cool feature.
I have'nt really even touched on all the things that this wonderful device is capable of, but eagerly looking forward to doing so. So thanks VZW for an outstanding group of products. And even though everyone will have a few complaints down the road on pretty much anything, thanks also for a superior network, and in my case, a great company with outstanding customer service.
