I recently bought on ebay a SEw300i. The Lot stated
UNLOCKED w300i. so of course i bid. knowing SE 300i is a ATT cell. (my carrier is att).
I got the phone in the mail today and I get the Incert correct simcard error.
I took the phone to ATT and they said that indeed this phone is NOT unlocked. and it's abviously braned to a diffrent crrier. that I need to find out who so i can gt it fixed
I also called SE an they said the same. To find out what carrier was previously used. beacuse if its saying Incert correct sim. it was at one time tied to a provider
can anyone help me with this. I already lost my$ on this phone. that is now useless. but icant aford to get a unlock code from ebay to hve it not even work.
any suggestions

thanks.
I looked up some unlockin places online nd found one that had a 1800 number. They are based in Utah. I told the guy my situation. i discoverd from the Ebay seller it was on 'suncom' or at least he says.
suncom dose not have unlockin codes or so they say. and i contacted a fw ppl on ebay who offer unlocking and they said the same thing. that they cannot unlock Suncom.
So should i risk the 15 dollars and send my phone in to these people?
othewise i have a useless phone. well i cant say that i found some hidden key codes where i can atleast tune into the FM raido feature. an i was gonna install the sofwear that came with it today and see if i can at least get the MP3 player working. if i can then it's not a total loss and i can atleast use it as a music plyer instead of a phone.

you can do it yourself which is much safer using the correct program.
go to se-nse.net and follow the instructions for the unlock, i believe you will need to use the patch unlock, which should work fine given you bakc up your GDFS like it says. follow the instructions and ask all your questions in a single thread before you do it.
