Hi all,
I've just purchased a RAZR2 V8 which I am enjoying immensely. I do have one question that I am hoping someone more experienced with the phone can help me figure out.
Is there a way on the profiles to switch text messages to silent? I can see where you can do a lot of modifications to different profiles and there is one that is called sleeping. What I like to do is be able to modify my profiles so that my phone will ring at night (in case of emergency) but have all tm's come in silently. When I go to modify the profiles text message alert, it does not show a silent or vibrate option, it only gives me the option of assigning an audible tone (either one of the preloaded ones or my own ringtones, but there is no silent option) I considered just trying to use the Silent profile and seeing if I could modify the ringtone so that it would ring and just leave everything else silent, but the phone would not let me modify the silent profile.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Any help would be appreciated.

i know on the first razr v3, you could assign ANY alert to text msgs. this is how i do it on mine:
right arrow (or menu>settings>ring styles)>vibe & ring detail>messages>silent (should be the first option).
is it not the same on the v8? i don't know why they would make a better phone that is LESS customizable?!

That's the way that I have done it on previous phones (Motorola's included) but this one does not seem to have a silent text message alert option - at least not one that I can find yet. Any help is appreciated.
