My friend had Cingular and now AT&T. She had dropped calls every call, but it seems better now that it's AT&T. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, how is the iPhone's services? I heard it has a lot of bugs still, but other people claim it's great. Any input?
Appreciate it.

I got the iPhone for Christmas. I love it. The service is about the same as with my previous RAZR V3. Dropped calls on speeding trains and a few deadspots around JFK Airport and a few other areas around the 5 Boroughs of NYC. The phone itself works incredibly well with very fast adaptable internet -- data network to WiFi. Wish it had a few more gigabites for iPod storage and games that could be downloaded and not played through the Safari web browser. I take the subway and there is no network connection there. Although, I already know for a fact that you can hack the iPhone and download stuff for it. Apple or ATT could really benefit if they would offer downloadable applocations.

I had Cingular for several years before it became AT&T and I've noticed no changes in my service since the change, except for the alpha tag thing that was resolved. My experience with AT&T has always been pretty good.
The iPhone, to me, is a mixed back of tricks. Good reception, decent internet performance with EDGE, really good with WiFi, cool interface. The low ringtone volume and low earpiece volume kinda did it in for me, though. That and the lack of cut and paste and can't send a single text message to multiple reciepients. But some of the text features are going to be fixed in this next firmware update, or so I hear. And downloadable applications are on the way as well.
I had the iPhone, quit using it, and I'm thinking of trying it again. Just like I've always done with any Apple product.

Nah. The service has been the same for me when we changed our name to ATT. Must have been the phone.
