My Razr was originally:
loader: 8.23
software: R374_G_0E.40.9CR
Flex GSMV3xxT674TA09E
Locked to Cingular.
I've managed to blank it through a bad flash (ignorance on my part) so I can't get the bootloader screen (*#power) any more. Phone still connects as Motorola Flash Interface.
I have a flashbackup backup (8.23 as a bin - not compressed) but I can't seem to be able to reflash it.
When I do try to reflash, Flashbackup log says
Sending loader. Please wait.
Sending loader. Failed! (Already sent ?)
Erasing memory. (This process doesn't shown)
Erasing done.
Restoring backup.
and then hangs
I've tried to reflash R374_G_0E.40.3CR_PDS001_LP002C_DRM0001_JPJAVA_G_0E_V3_01_06R_SE8608AXX W6043_1FF.shx
using RDS Lite and got the following

If I use flashbackup to take another backup of the loader it works OK but the file.
Any suggestions please?
I hope the battery does not run down before I fix this.

Buy a day pass of GOT.bz for $5 to repair the PDS then flash with R374 MP

Does GOT biz have a tool which does more than the tools I've tried?
When you say "flash with the 374 MP", do you mean use RDS Lite with the .shx in my original post?
Excuse my ignorance but as the phone is completely wiped (no bootloader, no software) why doesn't flashing with an MP restore it to the factory default?
What happens to the phone when the PDS is repaired that would make RDS start working?

Problem now fixed - interesting solution!
I was puzzled why so many V3's have been fixed easily and I was having diffuculty getting any flash s/w to work properly.
I was getting ramldr failures and USB I/O timeout errors. I tried different PCs and cables.
All the problems went away by "downgrading" the USB port on the PC from V2 to V1 by interposing an old D-Link hub.
The only unlocker which would work was Random's PDSEditor V0.8 which comes with FlashBackup V2.62 ("PDS Subsidy Unlocker")
I was SO glad I had a backup before it all went wrong.
