As for the water damage, have you considered that your sweat can manage to get into the device? That might've been the reason why.
And if you don't want T-Mobile then switch to another provider that will give you headaches. My family has had AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Whenever we call Customer Service for Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T; they gave us headaches. It got to the point where my dad had to contact the FCC to get us out of our contract.

LOL! Then you've been lucky. I've had no problems with the reps considering I know the Vice President's Daughter of T-Mobile! lol

In 6 months as a csr I have only had one guy call in to dispute an Out of Warranty fee. As a whole we educate customers as much as possible about the out of warranty fee. I do believe that many customers think liquid damage only comes from liquid being spilled on the device, or the device being submerged in water. But liquid damage can come from something as simple as leaving the phone on the bathroom counter while you take a steamy shower. And even if the extenal liquid damage indicators show no liquid damage, the internal indicators may show something different. A good rule of thumb: If your phone is worth more than would would like to pay for a replacement, definitely purchase the insurance.
