okay so my bill includes a 29.99 plan with unlimited texting for $15.
thats it.
so without taxes its 44.99.
okay
then the taxes come out to roughly $8-9
about $53.00/month my bill should be
but no, my bill came out to $59.75
and i called the CSR and he said that there is this "sprint tax" added onto the bill now.
honestly why is that "tax" necessary?
but i dont understand - i have had every company, and there is no extra "tmobile charge" or "AT&T charge"
so this must be a new thing? i guess?
if anybody cares to explain this "extra tax", it would be helpful

The CSR means Additional Sprint Charges. This is not a tax, is a federal communications fee that Sprint charges to you. Fom State to State this fee can be quite different.
You can check online http://nextelonline.nextel.com/en/legal/legal_terms_privacy_popup.shtm l the terms and conditions of your plan.
".Rates exclude taxes, and Sprint Fees such as a USF charge, cost recovery fees, and state/local fees that vary by area (e.g., in some areas up to 16% but in most areas less than 3%). Sprint Fees are not taxes or government required charges."
I hope this information is helpfull for you.

Yeah, the government said a few years ago that all cell phone companies must allow customers to take their numbers to other companies if they want - which then in turn costs the companies more money, and therefore they turn around that cost to every cell phone customer. ATT has it listed as something, VZW has it listed as something, every company has it listed as something. It kind of sucks.

That's what you get when the government pokes their noses into things that they shouldn't. It wasn't that hard to learn new numbers with new companies that I would want to pay extra for it.

Then for business reasons I'd like you to pay for that right, and not fund it myself.

Cool. Thanks For The UpDate. And I Don't Exactly See How Number Porting Costs The Company Money.

Because instead of using the phone number as an identifier, they now have to use a different number. You never needed an MSID number before number porting, because the MSID and the MPN were the same.
