My update is in January and i've yet to decide on which to get. I like how the Sidekick and the Blast both look, but which one is easier to use? Also, I mainly use my phones for texting so which is best for texts?

Sidekick ID has the best keyboard you will ever find. Makes texting easy and very fast.

I have handled both phones. If you prefer to text a lot, use aim and the 'internet' then the Sidekick ID is your phone. If you want a sturdy slider with a brilliant screen and MP3 music capability then go with the Blast. The texting on the blast takes a little while to get used to but once you get going i can text almost as fast as my girlfriend with her sidekick. Overall both phones are sturdy believe it or not. My GF has dropped her sidekick quite a few times and the screen still flips around and everything. The only thing about the ID is that it cannot accept MP3 ringtones (You must buy them) and no camera. To be honest once you get to email all your photos to the phone in the 'my album' it has a sweet picture viewer but thats about it. The Blast has a 1.0 MP camera which means you can make half decent prints from the phone via bluetooth to a kodak machine. Overall both good phones, Sidekick has (much) better battery life while the Blast had better signal in some of the troubled spots of T-mobile's DFW area network.

I own both of these phones:

If you want to get reception, I recommend the Sidekick ID.
If you like having a camera and a blackberry keyboard, take the Blast.

Hi. I have the sidekick id, and it is a very sturdy phone, and it is great for texting email and internet. But it has no camera. That's the only bad thing. So I would say get the sidekick id.
