I'm new to the forum and to the Samsung Beat phone. I can't get my device to sync with the Windows Vista Media Player. My device says the USB cable is connected to my PC but I see no sign of the device connection in Windows Vista nor in the Media Player application. Can anyone help me with this problem?

You might have better luck in the samsung forum. That's the best advice I can give you.

Thank you. I did resolve the problem. The Samsung manual was very misleading by implying that you must use the USB cable to sync the Beat phone to Windows Media Player. Not true! On your very first connection to the media player you should not connect via the USB cable. Instead you should remove your media card from the phone and insert it directly into your card reader slot on your PC and then open your media player. Follow the Media Player instructions for syncing your music files to the media card. After this task is completed, reinsert the media card into the Beat phone. You should have the music files on your phone that you selected. Now, any subsequent syncing you desire can be accomplished using the USB cable.

Also, try to get Samsung PC Studio free from their website - they have some really good drivers that might help you out if you continue to have issues.
