Nokia 6610 and SIM card rejected

Hello,

I just got my 6610 for 15 days and already some probs like SIM card rejected. Also, I was disapointed to no eing able to set some ringtone for caller groups. But apparently, with firmware 4.18 or 4.28 it' ok..

I think I will return my phone to the shop for a flash.
Hope it will be in order afterward

Default value of session mode has been changed to permanent
Browsing can be continued normally without any action after receiving MMS

Information note is displayed, when trying to send too long bookmark as a text message
Wap over CSD connection stays on after MMS sending
Data
Images and applications can be transferred between phone and PC using Data cable DKU-5

Bounce version is now 1.8
General improvements in level 6 (Ball handling, trampoline improvement)

Java
Wrapper class can be used in MIDlets, for example to renewal of license. Now wrapper class waits for the user response (OK or cancel) and after selecting ok, charging is done and application is executed.

Ringing tones from gallery can be set to different caller groups

Call and network management
Changes to MS behaviour when there is very long DL TBF delay in Network (25 seconds).
Some operators have required that HPLMN name is not permanently fixed for PNN number 1, in feature called Enhanced Operator Name String. 3GPP specifications say that HPLMN name is always in PNN number 1. Solution for that request is that PNN record number 1 is used as HPLMN name only if there is no other suitable match in OPL rules that are defined by operator.

One reason may be because you are using a old SIM card... Consult A Nokia Care Centre at near your place?

I get the same message occasionally, SIM Card rejected, without apparent reason
I checked the phone and u can make and receive calls without any problems, even when u see this message. Strange.
I am 99% sure it has to do with the firmware 3.08 or 3.09

I got a new firm but problem stay..
i really think that my SIM is defect..
Making a call is no problem.. just receiving

i find that if i place a FBUS cable into the phone without turning the phone off and just slideing it in under the battery when i lift the battery up 45o the screen says insert simcard in the top left in small black writeing and even though i can still make calls send texts etc, all the indacater bars that show how good your signal is is empty and it still says that in the left corner,

what u can try and do it undo your sim holder clean the simcard without any fluids and replace it back! i hope this helps your problem

hi.... i just want to know, is there any way i can input a chinese language setting on the nokia 6610 myself? thanks in advance

Goto a nokia care centre and ask them to flash the fone with an asian f/w. It should have chinese as an option in it.
Sumhow, i dont think its possible to install only a chinese language pack in the 6610. But u can ask abt that 2.
