(I asked this in the LG forum but didn't get any answer, hoping if I ask here I'll get one. Hope it's ok to put it here, too)
I want a phone that can double as my mp3 player, and have liked what I've heard about the LG VX8350. It sounds like a good phone, but I want to know how long the battery will last if I am playing my music. Anyone know?

Estimated 207 minutes talk time. The music takes up about the same out of the battery as talk time when playing.

I just got this phone and it is a great phone. God for playing music as it as two speakers. As for the battery life. It depends on how much ou use it. If I use it alot, it last me a couple of days, 3 or 4 days, if not it last quite a bit.
I have yet to listen to mp3's on it so no clue as to bt life for that.

I'm considering the 8350. how's the reception? I live in a spotty area and need something solid to replace my trusty e815.

I got my 8350 in November I think. The battery was GREAT! Then it slowly started loosing its ability to hold a charge. I took it back in February expecting a new battery and they gave me a whole new phone. this one is experiencing the same problem. I have to charge it every single day (and I maybe use 30 min. max a day talk time). I do text but in my opinion not enough to make the batter go from fully charged to completely dead in 24 hours. I am going Saturday to a verizon store with a technician.there is not one close so I have to drive a ways to get there (not happy with that).but if my problem is resolved then it will be worth it. this is my only major complaint with the phone.overall i am very pleased with it.

While I don't personally own an LG 8350, I am familiar with batteries. A battery's talk time and standby time are based on it's mAh number - typically, standard batteries have an mAh of 900 - this should give you around 3 hours of talk time. Extended batteries have more mAh and thus more talk time and standby time capacities.

I have had this phone since August 19, 2008 from Verizon as an upgrade with a new two year contract. Voice quality is excellent but battery life is very poor, and I have only used it to make calls.
My Nokia 6236i was much better with battery life and reception in many different areas such as my basement where the VX8350 doesn't work.
The Nokia is also easier to hold over extended periods. My hand gets cramped with the 8350 and I shift it from hand to hand.
The voice command system doesn't recognize many of the names in my Contacts list. The phones pronunciation of names is often strange. In my Nokia you record your own voice to correspond to names in your Contacts, so the phone has no problem recognizing my voice.
I haven't finally decided yet, but am thinking about returning the 8350 and reactivating my Nokia. I have never had a problem with Nokia phones
