i think I have a v3 I'm new here & kinda but not smart both of my screens have went black but I can still call & recieve phone calls & listen 2 my music on my phone but its hard 2 do anything because I haven't memorised the presise buttons to push to do something. I've asked help on another message board & the guy said 2 update my firmware I have what I think might seem a stupid question to you what is firmware? & how do I update it? will it cost me? I've lost my manual I've had my phone for about 1-2 years so I'm sorry if its in there

I have a similar problem, my razr doesn't show anything in the screen, i have 2 motherboards 1 sometimes freezes on startup or doesnt power on (keypad light flickers) and the other doesnt show anything but starts normally (i cannot even get bootloader screen but i know its entering to that. detects as a flash or neptune, command line, test interface, etc. ) and with normal power on as a usb modem,

i tried a lot of monsterpacks and all flashed ok, i can make calls, hear the sound of pressed keys, but no. screen, 2 broken motherboards.
Now im gonna flash to an old flex/bootloader
