I live in an area where I get about 1-2 bars (on any cell with Verizon, according to visitors) and switch often between 1X and EV-DO. I'm looking for a smaller phone that I can leave in my pocket for work (women's clothes are form fitting!) but still get good reception--or at least make calls without running out of battery by the end of the work day.

I've done a lot of research, but not seen good advice from other folks who have somewhat limited service. Also, my parents live in an extremely extended coverage area, and it's difficult to even get a signal with my razr v3c or my mom's e815. I will of course be there from time to time.

Any thoughts? Another thing that would be nice are a decent camera (I have little kids and don't always have the cam with me at the cute moments) but I could care less about any other options.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

this is actually a really good question. a year & a half ago, i would have had a few phones to suggest, but this year's models I haven't heard much about on this topic.

I would also like to hear if anyone else has had the experiance of bad service with one phone, then swapped to another and got better service.

The best phones for reception are LG models. I can not tell you anything about battery life other than to stay away from Motorola.

Thanks, getLitnow. I will definitely do my research on that one before I go into the store. icon_smile.gif

I appreciate your help.

Ditto comments re: LG phones. I live in a remote area with weak signal and all LG phones pick it up very well, even the low-end ones.
