OK
I don't know if anyone else gets these calls.
I had a lady call me today and was pissed off because her son's Treo 750 dropped in water and I informed her she cannot add insurance on because it is not compatible, on top of that, if it were, being damaged and trying to add insurance is fraud.
Then she says something only slightly unsuspected.
"Well, then how will my son call me after Kindergarten class?"
Excuse me?
She then informs me her 5 year old needs a new phone right away.
Crazy, huh? Who would have thought her 5 year old was a business man? But then again, I've seen a pregnant 5 year old, so I guess crazier things can happen.

Any idea why? Does that mean that the iPhone is not covered by Asurion?

i would assume att gets a bigger kick back from asurion for not covering pda phones , but then again asurion could just be pricks like that

Interesting, Alltel also uses Asurion, but they also charge more for 'premium' phones, seems as if that would be a good route to take. Alltel charges 7 instead of 5 for the premium phones.

different agreement with a different company. ATT larger population ergo a larger risk

Nah, wouldn't be a larger risk, the percentages wouldn't change, but it would rake in a lot more cash.
