i've tried it.and now i can recieve picture messages, but i still can't send them.
thanks soooo much for your help!
also, everytime that i try and change the speed to 9600. it won't stay it automatically switches to auto speed. And also when i try and switch it to isdn
it switches back to modem on its own. It only allows me one or the other not both. so i can only put isdn or modem. I don't know witch one will work.

my phone says proxy, so is the gateway ip the same thing?
I don't really know where to exactly put everything. That's why I put what my phone asks for.PLEASE HELP ANYONE.THANKS!

hi,

i need help with V3, the phone hangs up while composing a text message. It does not do so when taking a picture or capturing on video mode. Tried to flash/flex with RSD lite 3.3, but an error appears that says "critical error 1039"

MOTOROLA V8

I need help!
I got a t-mobile phone and unlocked it.My sim card is for AT&T. The phone is a motorola v8 to be exact.
I CAN text message with it fine, but I cannot recieve pictures or even send pictures. I don't know what to do. I've tried setting up the network, etc., etc. I'm so frustrated.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this problem.

Luvley,

The Motorola V8 is not supported by AT&T; you will not find any settings specific to this phone.

However, most Motorola phones accept the same settings. I suggest looking at the settings for the Motorola RAZR V3 or the Motorola V8 and using those in your phone. If that doesn't work, tell us about it and we can go from there.

It sounds like you don't have your picture messaging properly set up (MMS). Those setting are available at THIS URL WHICH IT WOULDN"T LET ME POST CAUSE I"M A NEW USER

Respectfully,
Jacob M.

Alright, so I have this same problem except with an unlocked V3 Razr. I followed that link, and I think I found what I was supposed to do, except it told me to enter stuff into Web Settings under the Settings Tab.except there is no Web Settings there. Everything else is there except that.
What am I doing wrong? Am I just an idiot? Or does my problem transcend this mobiledia that Google directed me to.

Rolen,

At the basic menu of the RAZR there is an icon of the world that, when selected, should read "Web Access". Once inside that menu, near the bottom, there is an item that reads "Web Sessions". In the list of web sessions, you can either edit the ones that are already set up or make a new web session to match the settings Elmo posted above.

If the "Web Access" menu item isn't available, it might be under "Settings" (with an icon of a screwdriver & wrench). At the bottom of that menu there may be the "Web Access" link, which will lead to the web sessions menu.

If neither of those directions lead to your web sessions menu, the original network that distributed the phone may have disabled the link to web sessions. Fortunately, flashing the RAZR V3 is fairly quick & easy, as is going in an editing the necessary settings. Let us know what happens and we can work from there.

Peace,
Jacob M.

Beaten to the punch!

The direct link to Mobiledia's Motorola forums: (http://forums.mobiledia.com/forum54.html)
Another site dedicated to Motorola phone modifications: (http://www.planetmotox.net/)

Alright, so I need to Flash. Where on those forums could I find directions to this process?
Sorry, I'm an obvious noob at this.
