a firmware update would possibly solve the probs u r having, im not 2 sure wot the latest firmware is with t610, but it goes in numeric order, so cud safely say that you have a older version( although i'll prob get proved wrong here,lol)

The fw versions are generally in an ascending order.
Also, in case u guys did not notice, there is a new fw version out for the K700, viz., R2J. I have posted an image displaying the same in an earlier post.

i've had a T637 for a little over a week, and I was wondering if it uses the same firmware as the T630. i'm located in the US, so it's not like anyone has a T630, or that they carry them in wireless shops, but I was curious. also, is upgrading the firmware of the phone done free of charge?

Hello all,
Apparently, not all SE service stations are updated with the latest firmwares for SE phones.
A few days ago I submitted a request for information about the latest firmware available for K700i on www.sonyericsson.com. Today, before receiving the reply from SE support, I updated my phone's firmware from R2A042 (if I'm not mistaken) to R2L001 at one of the service stations. Just now, I received a reply from SE support saying that the latest firmware for K700i is R2AA003.
Searching google about R2AA003 gives only few results. So, I guess this new version is not really popular yet.
Anyway, good thing that the upgrade is free under warranty.  I don't want to buy the cable or docking station just to update the firmware using SE website as of now...
Conclusion: latest firmware for K700i is R2AA003.
