so i get a call.

Me:can I get your name please?

Her: uh. Jane Smith.

Me: thank you. and can i get the name on the account.

Her: at&t

Me: um. no, no like the name of the person that opened the account.

Her: oh. john smith.

Me: thank you and the last 4 of the SSN

Her: well thats what i called you to get.

Me: well i cant give that out, is he around maybe you can ask him.

Her: yeah.

Me: .ok. . . can. you ask him then?

Her: yeah.

Me: . . . what did he say?

Her: oh. ill call back later.

Cust: Yea my answering tones arnt working , i bought a bucnh of them and nere got them

Me: Thats correct they do not download to your phone.

Cust: I know that but they dont work I didnt get them.

Me: Correct you wont recive them the dl to a computer you need to log in to your account , ans asign them.

Cust: Yea i know , i dune that but it still dont work .

Me: Well i would be happy to assist you to make sure it was done correctly.

Cust: I KNOW WHAT IM DOING, Just Remove The Answer tones.

Not an ass at all, he bought it, he's responsible for it. Just because you can't figure out how to program you VCR doesn't mean you get to return later.

It's too bad that customers aren't here reading some of this, so they would know what NOT to do when calling in for customer service.
