You all have seen the 8 tips that the former verizon rep offers about getting better deals on phones.
I was wondering if the one about the treo is true?
I have been told so many things by different reps that I am son very confused.
Here is the dilemma. My primary line is able to do an annual upgrade as long as
a)we have a plan over 50 dollars
b)no past due charges
c)her phone has not been updeated for 14 months
d)We must also agree to a renewal
FINE. I will do all of that. I want a smartphone. I was thinking about the SMT5800 but then i decided that maybe a treo would be alot cooler and better.
Online promo price: TREO 755P=299.99 includes a $50 rebate that is not reflected in that price.so final price is 250.
Then I was told, no, that phone costs 399. It says online as of now 299.
Can someone explain annual upgrade? Preferably a verizon rep who knows what they are talking about!
Also anyone have any tips on maybe getting a discount on the phone even further?
OH and the advanced device discount that gives me a discount for adding an unlimited data plan (discounts 100 bucks). I was told it must be an active feature for at least 90 days or I would get charged the 100 dollar discount?
UGH COnfused!

Purchase online. The prices are usually decent that way with instant rebates, the advanced data credit would normally apply and you can still change the plan after you get the phone. The price of the phone shouldn't change and you pay credit card online. Technically the secondary lines shouldn't get the advanced device credits though.

I know the secondary lines shouldn't get it but I plan on getting the phone upgrade on the primary and then switching the phone over to another line.
