I have an A727 that I bought in Oct. 07. In Jan. 08 the battery started going dead after a couple of hours. I got a new battery, same thing happened. I got a new phone, put the battery in, same thing happened. Got a new phone and a new battery, same thing happened. I now have my 4th A727 on it's way. My phone was fine for three months and now I have apparently had 3 "bad" phones in a row? My daughter has the same phone with no problems. I love this phone.when it works. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? I called Samsung and they literally asked me if we have a ghost in the house!

perhaps your charger is damaged and it's damaging your phone + battery.

Thank you for your reply. I have finally found the problem to be an "old" SIM card. After trying everything else, including a different charger and outlet, I had my wireless company give me a new SIM card and I haven't had a problem since.
I now love this phone again!
