I would think that in those temperatures it would be a good idea to have a garage, and possibly heated.

A garage would be nice, heated would be better but we live in a fourplex with no garage. Just the side of the building to try to break the wind. I figure about August it should start to get warm again hehehe

then its time to get some quotes on an auto stater to warm the car up, have one and it comes in handy when its 100+ out side in the summer to cool it off a little

It depends, if you have to give the car a little gas to get it started, then those won't work so well.

I thought if it was fuel injected you didn't have to give the car some gas. But then again, I'm not a mechanic, was only married to one for 20 years

Fuel injected you usually do not need to give it gas, although there are times that you would floor it once to open the choke.

Hmmmm.guess I was listening now and again when the mechanic spoke LOL. Actually he was a transmission specialist and I guarentee, all that went in one ear and out the other.

I suppose all of your cars have been really nice, but sometimes the heaps that I drive need to be kicked a few times before they go.

That was the one thing about being married to a mechanic, the cars may not have looked the best but they generally ran like a top. I remember when we had a Gremlin. It was the middle of winter and that car started every day without being plugged in. One problem with that car is we had a windstorm and the back bumper blew off LOL. Then we went to open the hatch in the back and the window shattered. Decided to get another car and he comes home with a Hornet.dang, we took another step backwards but you couldn't do anything to blow out that engine. Must be the amc's that made the best engines. Those cars might rust out from under you but if you had an ignition the motor would turn over.
