somehow the bluetooth on my phone is inactive. i cannot recieve messages or send messages using bluetooth i dont have an earpiece and i dont know if i should send it back to t-mobile. i like the samsung katalyst but this is a major problem because i cant get the ringtones from my friends phones. what should i do?

Don't take offense to any of these questions.
Did you turn the Bluetooth antennae on?
Did you pair it with the other device?
Did you look up and see if the phone had file sharing enabled through the Bluetooth? Many Service Providers turn off features such as this to prevent trading things such as ringtones.

thank u mcgirk i did go thru all of that to see if that ws the problem, however the phone is nice and cute but i thinki will just take it back to the store and exchange it, my sister bought the samsunt t629 and from my understanding that phone came out 9 months before the katalyst and her phone works great, i do appreciate u trying to help.

I know some service providers don't want you to be able to share things like ringtones, or it would reduce there sales of such, make sure that is not the case before you return your phone, some of the folks on the TMobile talk would know for sure. I know that Verizon and Sprint both block file sharing over Bluetooth.
