im about a year into my 2 year contract and i want the new LG venus. I dont want to pay the full 350 for the phone.can my dad go in there and get a new 2 year contract for me and get the phone for the new 2 year contract price? any help on this is helpful! thanks

If your plan meets a certain billing cost per month and has been on that plan for the required time, then you would be eligible for an annual upgrade (twelve months after the last upgrade/purchase). Should that be the case then you can get the Venus at the 2-year cost with the rebate included. Call customer service and have them review your account.

Ask them if you have an early upgrade eligible. If your plan (price plan for minutes) exceeds $50 a month for the past 90 days and you're not past due, then you should be eligible. If you pay more than $80 a month there isn't a fee to upgrade early.

I research accounts all day for inquiries like this one, and anybody you call at customer service should be able to review your line for the upgrade. If you're not eligible for a while, my advice would be to look online (like Ebay). If you go that route just make certain you acquire the MEID for the phone, that way you can call customer service and have them check to see if it's a stolen phone or locked for one reason or another.

Yes, I did this a couple of years ago. I wanted a new phone in the middle of my contract, my dad was renewing his contract but didn't want a new phone. so he got the discounted price with the new contract & i put the phone on my account.
