Can my girlfriends cellphone be using cell towers from a town 25 miles away?
We live in Quincy IL. On our cellphone bill it says that she used Hannibal Mo cell towers several times. I asked her about this and she says she was not in Hannibal Mo on those times. Its at least 10 calles on each bill. Is she lying?
y does it not happen to my moms, sisters or my phone. We all have the same service provider and live within 75 feet of eachother

Seems to me that the only way she could be pulling off of that tower is if she was in the area. Even if the tower was juiced up that much it would affect everyones phones, not just hers. I'm taking educated guesses here, but I think she's trying to pull the wool over.

Actually It Is Very Possible. Maybe On Trips To The Store Or Things Of That Nature. 25 Miles Would Be Just Out Of Range For That Tower, So If You Moved Closer To It There Is A Good Possibility The Tower Is Picking Up Her Call, Because With CDMA Technology Calls Are Usually Routed Through 2 Or 3 Towers Simultaniously for best sound quality, while you only hear the best sounding backup copies of the conversation are sent to the other towers in case the user moves out of range of another tower.
