It's being sold to the government for law enforcement. all of nextel's direct connect abilities are being phased to a superior cdma direct connect, with clearer voice quality than iden. do some research. they are selling it because they want to, not because they have too. And Sprint isn't selling thier network, they are selling the rights to iden. big difference. fact is you csr's might think you know the wireless industry but you don't. most of you don't even know how the technology works. and i know you don't know anything about the business world or you would have a better occupation. not that i disrespect customer service you guys have the patience of a saint. and it's probably something i couldn't do. i know i want to tear some of my clients heads off, but hey i need thier money lol.

T-Mobile has just as good of Network as AT&T and even has coverage is places were Verizon and AT&T don't even have coverage. Sprint were not even gonna talk about because someone will buy them out soon. get you facts straight.
Why do you think sprint will be bought out? the iden rights alone they are selling back to the government is going to be a huge revenue boost for sprint. like it or not sprint still has more subscribers than t mobile usa. in fact, t mobile worldwide barely has twice the customer base that sprint does in just the states. that's pretty sad considering t mobile covers most of europe. And As a side note, t mobile's network is nothing compared to att. at least att has some 3g services. t mobile is an economy carrier, like the us cellular of gsm.

I think you need to look at the current coverage of T-Mobile and not T-Mobile's coverage from 2 years ago. and for Sprint it's not about revenue it's about a KEEPING customers. i really hope DT buys Sprint.

I Don't work for sprint. and dt doesn't have the assets to buy sprint. and what the hell would they do with three networks? seriously! you people need to use common sense sometimes. every company goes through it's bad times. you are nothing but a band wagon follow the trend robot, and most people are. sprint will bounce back. once again, sprint is one of the few networks that still hasn't been bought out yet. and don't forget, sprint still provides landline service.

DT does have the assests to buy Sprint they have the assets to by AT&T. DT is the sixth largest phone company in the world. Sprint(a Nationwide carrier) would be cheaper than DT's buy out of VoiceStream/Powertel in 2001 (both were Regional Carriers). The problem with Sprint is that they tried to combind iDeN with CDMA and it just doesn't work and they have really back Customer Service. Sprint you tried something it didn't work and you suck at it and your paying for it harshly. Just let yourself be bought out. IF DT bought Sprint then I think they should keep all 3 Networks, launch 3G on GSM (which they already paid for). Keep all 3 Networks separate. They could call them T-Mobile Nextel Brand, T-Mobile Sprint Brand & T-Mobile Get More Brand and have them all Stick Together.

Lol that's a horrible business model. horrible. and sixth largest or not they barely have twice the subscriber base sprint does, and att has about the same as dt does worldwide. don't forget att is also the largest landline provider in the united states, and they are also an isp, and they own yahoo.com. att is a giant and dt couldn't buy att even if they sold every asset they had. and as a side note, sprint customer service has improved greatly. the new ceo has really cleaned house. it's almost like a new company, he has fired several higher ups for letting it get that bad. dan hesse is a genius.

DT does have the assets. and for the record ATT doesn't own Yahoo. You really need to learn to look up stuff before you give out information.
