Hi
My dad got his phone stolen and I'm wondering what T-Mobile can do about it? I know they can block the number, but is there anyway that they will block the phone of the network? It is not the T-Mobile phone, it's a European phone from import.

If the sim is from tmobile usa, it can be deactivated. The only thing they can do for the phone is blacklist the imei.

Check the contract . did you do what was asked in the event of a stolen phone or un-authorized charges . you must contact Customer Service ASAP to stop the service . if you're not able to verify the account (I'll explain this later) you cannot stop the service, make sure the account is noted, ask for the CSR's name & id#, make note of the date . get that password & call back to stop the service for that phone . if he is still under contract he is still obligated, the service can be inactive for about 30 days, you have to replace the phone and re-start the service, meanwhile if charges incur, go to the police and report the stolen or lost phone . you must have the date and time of the event on the police report not an incident report . your obligation with regards to the charges if that you have to notify ccare, you did that to stop the service, if under contract re-start the service to continue the contract . fax a brief explanation of what happened, (KISS) keep it simple seriously . include the police report with the T-Mobile account number on EVERY document that's faxed . more than likely if the documents support what is in the account the charges will be dropped . personally I prefer to get everything in writing, venting does not good here . you want the facts in writing . Dear Sir . the charges were adjusted . Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh . oh I've checked with other departments and you must verify the account (why FCC demands it) so if you're wondering about the adding of passwords or persons to your account . it's FCC rules not T-Mobile
