Hi all;
I'm not use to this forum kinda thing and i had to have someone help me sign up and ask these questions so please be kind to this lady.
I have a Razr V3 from Cingular and it's time for a new battery. So i guess my first question is where can i get a new OEM battery without sacrificing an arm and a leg to pay for it? I understand some battery's sold pretend to be OEM but may explode so I'm afraid of cheap imitations.
Before installing my battery, should i back up my address book to the sim card? Or can i replace the battery without losing my address book?
How does one back up the address book to my sim card. (step by step for a slow brain would be helpful).
Any help would be appreciated.

I would hold on to my arm & leg and go to the AT&T store and buy an original battery. It's not really that bad, in the overall scheme of things. You will not lose anything by removing your battery and replacing it. In fact, there are times where it's necessary to remove the battery and sometimes even the SIM card to clear some gobbledy-gook with the phone, not unlike re-booting a computer.
As for saving the addresses to the SIM, it's not a hard process, but I can't quote it from memory. It's described pretty well in the owner's manual, but someone here can quote it here before too long.
It's a good idea to save the addresses somewhere, but I save my addresses to my computer via Motorola Phone Tools. Saving them to the SIM card is the next best idea.
Good luck, Geri O
