I have Mars II infrared adapter. When I connect my Nokia 6600 to the computer using It, the mrouter on the tray bar shows yelllow and blue icon, but when I launch the PC Suite, the connection icon found in the status bar indicates that there is no connection.
Is this a problem with the mobile, the application itself, or the infrared model?
If this an infrared model problem, will I face the same problem with specific bluetooth adapters?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Are u behind a firewall or sumthing??
Coz, i had this problem in the past. I use ZoneAlarm as an internet firewall, and when i open pc suite, it used to ask me messages like, "Do u wish to allow SCRFS module to access the internet?". On saying yes, my pc suite would start and i would be faced with the same prob. So i went to the settings, selected allow access always, and then restarted the pc suite, and it worked fine.
And initially u must also click on the Nokia Connection Manager(small phone icon in the taskbar) and click on infrared, and Select OK.
DO NOT CLICK ON APPLY.

I am enabling the Windows XP built in firewall. May this affect the PC Suite?

Yes I did, and it detect my mobile "Nokia 6600", and I don't press apply. After that I start PC Suite, but the mrouter icon found in the status bar of PC suite indicates that there is no connection.

Wat os are u using??
A friend of mine had a similar problem(he wasn't able to get past the welcome message)
Acc to him, the pc suite must be installed in the same partition as the os itself. I know this sounds kinda wierd, but do try it out and see if it works.

I am using Windows XP, and the PC Suite is installed on the same partition of the Windows XP which is the D: drive. The filesystem is NTFS.

What i meant by this was that if u windows xp is installed on ur C: drive, ur pc suite must also be installed on the C: drive.
So in ur case, i am assuming that the windows xp system files are installed on D:
