I am trying to dial my ISP using my 3650 and a Bluetooth dialup networking connection from my PC running WinXp. I have tried to use the software that came with my Belkin BT adaptor, no go... The pc says is connecting, and the face of the phone says it dialing the number, but it never actually rings the number. I then downloaded the nokia modem setup off of nokia's site and when I try to install it to my pc I am only given the option of IR. I have tried running the install while having a Bluetooth serial connection to the 3650, as well as no connection. Thanks for the help in advanced!!

Ask your service provider internet provider. Most service providers don't support dial-up connections without clearing. Or they have sometimes special dial-up numbers for cellphones.
When the phone is dialing, the connection is between phone and computer is ok.

first thing first
make sure your bluetooth modem working, and phone paired
then make a new connection, choose bluetooth modem, and setup as dialup modem
make sure dialing rules got setup if you need it
I got success with n-gage on xp and ppc 2003

I'm facing the exactly same situation:
1. disconnected automatically when dialing up,
2. cannot choose 'Bluetooth modem' when installing nokia 3650 modem setup software.
My carrier is AT&T, and I'm using windows xp. I'm a college student and trying to connect to campus PPP account. Can anybody help us?

I just got a reply from Rogers AT&T here in Canada about this same situation - I'm assuming AT&T would be similar:
"In reference to you inquiry, a dial up connection requires a circuit
switch connection (CSD). The GSM network supported by Rogers Wireless
supports a packet switch based connection, known as GPRS. Due to this
reason, a circuit switch connection is incompatible through a packet
switch based GSM network.
At this time, there are no cellular carriers within Canada which
support a dial up connection through a GSM network."
If anyone knows a way around this, please let me know... I'm assuming there isn't one.

Okay, so my situation is unique, but it might shed some light on where this problem actually exists.
I have a PowerBook at home, running OS X. It connects to my mobile carrier through the bluetooth connection on my 3650 without batting an eye.
I use a Dell at work. Same connection, same switches and such, and no dice.
Just my opinion, but I think this is a windoze problem.
