That's likely because Motorola was instrumental in bringing qchat about, and many Nextel users are going to want to stick with the Motorola brand.

I still haven't seen any LG models although the research I have done have indicated that Samsung and LG both showed off models at a recent trade show.

I Won't Be Rushing Into Buying A QChat Phone Right Away, I Wanna See All The Bugs Worked Out First. Although I Must Admit I Am Very Excited.

Tests have already been made between IDen and CDMA phones, the trick is going to be, how well will it work in real life situations. It's mostly software, so I wouldn't worry about bugs too much, and even if there are, fixes will be quick in coming. The QChat phones will likely be capable of downloading software fixes and upgrades right over the air.

So If They Are Doing Upgrades OTA, That Furthers My Belief They May Come Out With An App For Existing EVDO Phones.

It's likely called QChat as an abbreviation of Qualcomm Chat, and I think it possible that it would also work on Verizon and Alltel, if Sprint decided to sell them licenses.
