My katana II is pretty new i got it in november 2007, so its not like im worried about getting a phone.

but i was on the site today looking at their phone selection and too me it looks weak! i mean there are like maybe 5 or 6 actual phones.
the others are like PDAs and high tech nextels . i shouldnt even include nextels.

in my opinion the current phone selection is aweful and i think sprint needs some new, better looking phones, eh?

There are 5 or 6 Sanyos, but there are also about 3 motorolas, 3-4 Samsungs, 2-3 LG's. Not counting Nextel. The website doesn't do a very good job of showing what they have, and the filters constantly malfunction, occasionally showing the RAZR V3M as a Direct Connect model. I don't think that Sprint's phone selection leaves much to be desired.

Actually a Samsung model was declared a good month before the Sanyo model was seen on the FCC. I however would hold out for the Sanyo model, those guys have been doing it right for too long to ignore.

I'm saying anything about that, but the Samsung has been known about for longer. The Sanyo models were found on the FCC website in the last week, were as the Samsung model surfaced on the FCC site in January. Don't get me wrong, because of my feelings for Samsung, and the fact that Sanyo makes a nice phone, I'd recommend the Sanyo first. Let's see if Kyocera, who just bought Sanyo, will keep up the high quality.

I would expect that Motorola would get into the qchat lineup sooner or later.

It won't be Motorola's user interface, it will be Sprints.
