Just bought a t616 today...but it wont cut on. I had previously tried this exact same phone 4 days ago and told them to hold it for me until today so i could sign the contract with cingular. We took it out of the box at the store and it wouldn't turn on, so we figured it had been left on in the box and was *dead*. Got home and had to go to work today and put it on a car charger from about 2-10pm, checking on it occasionally, but it showed no signs of life other than the joystick. The led in the joystick will occasionally come on like it is charging but it won't stay on. Anything i can try with this one before i go get a new phone monday since they are closed tommorow?

It is possible that the internal PCB might be damaged. Better get your phone replaced.

If its damaged, i dont know how it got that way, because i took this exact phone out of the box and played with it a few days ago in the store. Is there anything that would lock this phone from turning on or something?

Let's say your phone is dead indeed.
Just bring it back to the store where you got it.
They will replace it and you can play again in no-time!

Yea i was planning on taking it back, just wondering if there were any tricks with turning on this phone. I know the place i bought it from only keeps one of those, so it might be another couple weeks until i get my t616 back This doesn't really make me feel good about a phone i paid $300 for up front (rebates and the $150 deposit because of my lack of credit will help lessen that). Oh well, thanks for the advice and mabye ill be able to post something positive next time.
