Sprint likely has this ability blocked, but if they do not, you would need to have a data cable to hook your phone up to the computer. It's a guarantee that Sprint has disabled the ability to transfer files over a bluetooth connection.

can i somehow set up a web site like some of these 3rd party ones to download em so the phone thinks its a web site rather than my pc?

That's beyond me, but you'll still pay for it, because there is a .03 cent per kilobyte download charge for casual data usage.
