I have AT&T right now and there signal is incredible. Maybe four dropped calls over the past five years. Anyways, I will be parting ways with them. I am in training to be a sales rep for sprint and I'm getting their dealer line, which is amazing. Anyways, I ordered my phone online and it came today. I went to send my ringtones via bluetooth from my unlocked razr to the katana. They had no problem finding each other, but when I click copy and go to send it I get "unsupported media file". What and how can this be fixed? icon_mad.gif

Don't expect it to get fixed. One most ringtones if purchased from a service provider will be locked so that you can't move them around, and most Sprint phones have file sharing over Bluetooth disabled to prevent getting 'free' ringtones. Does is suck, yes, do most companies do it, also yes.

So is there even a way to get ringtones? I downloaded one with the free ringtone sprint gives you and it sounds like the song is being sang in a damn wind tunnel. Worst ringtone I've ever heard. Thank goodness I didn't pay 2.50 to hear that piece of crap. I'll send this phone back before I'm stuck with no ringtone. The default ones make me want to stab my eye out.

Sanyo are one of the best phones, I certainly wouldn't return it to get something of lesser quality just to get a better sounding ringtone.

Yeah, I was told sanyo's were the best way to go with sprint, which is why I chose this one. If sanyo is their best phone then I think I made a mistake switching to them, but I'll give it a week or two before I make a final judgement. The volume on the phone is dreadful, but I overlooked it. Now that I can't get all those ringtones I have on my old phone has me frustrated to say the least. I called tech support to see if there was anything that could be done. I explained it thoroughly to him and he looked at my account. He said he would program it to enable me to transfer those ringtones, but give it 15 minutes and then it'll work. So it's been 25 and I just attempted it again, but the same error occurred. Is that even possible for him to do anything like that? Or does it sound like he didn't have an answer and bought time. Either way I will call back in a little bit if it doesn't work again and ask again. I'm always polite, which I learned gets you alot more things than what most people do when calling support. It also helps I'm a new customer and had their service less than 36 hours. They seem alot more willing to help than past experiences with other providers.

Yes, if you get the right CSR then you'll find Sprint to be very helpful, although finding the right one can be difficult at times. Sanyo isn't he best Sprint phone, it's been the top phone manufacturer for the last 6 years according to JD Power and associates. This year they tied with Motorola. In previous years other manufacturers got up there with them, but they've been the number one company for some time. If I could get a Sanyo on my Alltel account, I would.
