I know they do a credit check, but I dont have credit history since I dont have a card. I have prepaid with T-mobile, and I want to change to a monthly plan. I'm 19 and I plan on paying for it in the store every month, because I dont have a checking account or credit card. Will I still be rejected or is there some way around this? Can I have a parent co-sign or something and use their credit history? How much would the deposit be if they didnt reject me? I refuse to stay with prepaid, I use my phone too much and its costing way more than a monthly plan would.

I would at least get a checking account. You are probably going to need to put a deposit down in order to sign up. I do not think you van have a co-signor, but I could be wrong.
Go With Sprint. not only is thier network better and faster, a deposit of 125 get's you started.

Whether with T-Mobile or Sprint you may have to pay a deposit however don't based your decision on that consider the coverage, what's the point of paying a low deposit if you have poor coverage check first .with T-Mobile if a deposit is required with a good payment history you can get the money back and you will have established your own payment history instead of relyingon your parents . After Eleven Months Of Good Payment History With Sprint, You Will Get Your Deposit Back. And As For Coverage, T Mobile Has The Worst Coverage In The US Out Of The Top Carriers.

Tmobile does basically the same. And the coverage is not the worst. At least tmo has good customer care and can make money. Sprint just lost more money than the company is worth, not to mention, they are bleeding customers.

Lmao. Every Company Goes Through Losses And Bad Times. Fact Is, Sprint's Been Around Longest Of All The Cell Phone Carriers. And Yes, They Do Have The Worst Coverage Of The Top Carriers. While They Having Roaming Agreements With ATT They Can't Utilize Half Thier Towers Because T Mobile Is Single Band Only 1900MHZ Which Has Very Little Building Penetrating Power. And Yeah T Mobile Has Good CS But They Need It To Keep Wool Over Thier Customers Eye's.

Yes every company goes thru a bad time. But when a company has been losing money since a merger, and offically lost more than the company is worth, that is worse than a bad time. Sprints data network is the best, I can't argue there. But tmobile's voice network is the best in the country. It has the best clarity and its plans are the best value. People aren't on here to attack other carriers, they are here because they have questions. You seem to be here jusy to say everyone sucks and sprint is the best. Don't post anymore bashes aginst carriers. They help no one.

Your Right, Bashing Never Helps. But TMobile Doesn't Have The Clearest Voice Quality, Because They Are Using GSM.(Not To Mention Thier Lack Of Towers) Now The Reason Other Carriers Voice Beats Out TMobile Is Simple, They Utilize Two Bands, For Instance Sprint Uses 1900 and 800 mhz Frequencies, On A CDMA Network, They Get Both High Voice Quality And Great Reception In Rural Areas Or Buildings. Now TMobile Does Offer Some Cheap Minutes And They Are The Cheapest, But That's For A Reason. You Get What You Pay For. Now About Sprint Losing More Than Thier Worth? Nope. They Lost Moore Than The Merge Was Worth, Big Difference. And That Was A Business Decision, Good Or Bad? Only Time Will Tell. But What On Earth Does That Have To Do With Coverage? Nothing. Who's Bashing Now? Your Digging At Straws.

While T-Mobile's network is pure 1900 MHz, their phones are capable of roaming on 1800 and 850 MHz GSM networks. In fact, right now, my phone is roaming on an 850 MHz Rogers Wireless connection in the middle of nowhere, Ontario, Canada.
