OK so i got a v3 liek 2 days ago, and i tried to unlock it using the downlaod etc but i cudnt get it to work, so i ended up getting my subsidy code.
anyway, now i want to enable longer vids and give me more space, aswel as remove photos from the phone to the comp.

When the v3 is pluged in to the comp, it is only recgonised with RSD lite, and it doesnt even show up in the my computer section and removable drives.
i tried installing drivers, buit that doesnt work.

if you need aymore info plz contact, and help much appreciated.

okay. You need P2KMan or a program like it to download things from the phone to the computer. Google P2kMan and you'll find it along with a guide.

Did you set your USB default connection to "memory card" ?

Its a regular V3. There is no setting. It's set to Fax/Modem mode.

I see. Then what is telling you that it will show as "removable drives" if you do not even have a SD card? In my opinion the only way to connect with the V3 is with Motorola Phone Tool Avanquest and use its limited access.

Actually, I use Motorola's Mobile Suite Software to put ringtones and download pictures from my REGULAR RAZR v3.

So you are OK to transfer multimedia. With such suite you cannot access the memory as you could with your PC explorer. The only memory you could manage like this would be if you had an additional SD card, which you do not have. In short and in my knowledge that's all. The V3i has it. Cheers!

well he's talking about the V3 RAZR. The original. The one without a memory card slot. And look up the software on Motorola's Site. It helps you download and upload stuff to the V3 RAZR. THE ORIGINAL.

OK, you can use some software from the developer site to upload and download stuff as you said, but the thema was that: "he could not see the memory as a removable drive".
Please refer to my previous comment.
Now to use the software to upload application like java for exemple check if your phone can upload application first. So it is not so easy as seeing the "memory as removable drive". Good luck.
