My mother and I are considering cutting the cord and just using our cell phones. I use a phone system that is free called Grandcentral. I can block unwanted callers. What are the pros and Cons of doing this?
Advise me, please someone.

This is how I look at it, a phone is a phone. What's the coverage area on your home phone? Small huh, doesn't even work outside of your house does it? How about a cell phone, what's the coverage area on that? Works in a lot more places then your home phone doesn't it. That and if the power is out, you can still charge a cell in the car, not much chance of that with your cordless home phone is there.
