Well I just bought an s710a and put together a set of .mp3's to use as ringtones and put them on the Memory Stick Duo and when I went into the phone to try to use it it won't let me. I don't have a manual for this since I got it from eBay but I was wondering if there is something I'm missing here or if it is even possible to use my 'songs' (ie custom made ringtones) as ringtones. They show up in my media and I can play them, but in the phonebook I can't set them as ringtones.they don't even show up.
Will I have to get the USB cable, or is there another way? Thanks ahead of time for any and all help.

no - just get a memory stick reader would be better than the s710a cables, i got a 3rd party one and it sucks.
btw, your phone probably has a 30 second limit on the file to be used as a ringtone. try cutting the song down and see if that works

I have an S710a, and i know exactly whats wrong. For the longest time, i tried to figure out why you couldn't set songs as ringtones. What you have to do is save the contact itself to your phone, and not your sim card. Then you will be able to go into the contact and apply a custom ringtone to it! Hope this helps!
