Currently I am signed up with AT&T on a single line with 900 minutes per month. I've found that I only use about half of those minutes per month. I'd like to drop the plan to the 450 minutes per month plan.
I understand that if I change to a lower rate plan, I'll lose a certain amount of minutes that I've collected via rollover. I'm not protesting this, but would like to know how much I would lose or at least a decent estimate. Is there a way I can do this myself or for a service technician (via phone) can look this up?
I'd like to know because it might be worth having a good amount of rollover minutes in reserve for those times when I do use more than 450 minutes a month (despite being far short of 900). If I am going to lose most or all of my rollover minutes, I might not switch.
Can you offer any suggestions?
Respectfully,
Jacob M.

Well basically when you change your Rate plan the number of rollover mins you get to keep depend on the plan you choose. you get to bring over the amount equal to the amount of the plan your switching to, since you would be switching the 450 min Rate plan you get to bring 450 minutes of Rollover with you. hope this helps.

To computerslayer,
I had the exact same issue a while back ago, I just got on the the phone with the ATT customer service. While they shoulld allow you to keep your rollover even when you change to a lower plan like I did. It's possible that you talk to some idiot customer service agent who's got a hard on for customers. Just say thank you, hang up, and call them again, you will get someone to swith your minutes and plan for you.
