Once upon a time there was a kid named john that was rly and he was in with this girl named sarah that lived next door to him but her father was the and everytime he saw her in school he would be and she looked like an . so one day he got up enough to go talk to her but before he got there some guy came up to her and started talking to her and he was rly . So when i started walking home i saw her in her front lawn so i went to go talk to her. I said "hey, how are u today " she said, "im doing fine, just watering my grass" so i burst out, "Want to go to the movies saterday " she replied, " i guess i could, pick me up at 7:00?" "Ok " i said. so the next moring i woke up and went in the kitchen to eat some breakfest. My little brother was alrdy sittin at the table and said to me, "Hey i heard u finally asked out that girl " "yes i did " he replied. So after he was finished eating he went to the park to play ball with his friends and he noticed sarah was there. he went up to her and said. . .
this is gunna be a real story thread with no stupid crap (im rly bored) so pls dont post if u dont want to continue a normal (u can hae some weird stuff but not stuff that would never happen) story.

"Umm, ok" and so they headed under the bleachers and started making out. A little while later someone walked by and saw them making out. "Hey!" the person said and John looked up and noticed it was. . .

. . . another chick he liked, so he talked them into a threesome, they had fun, then 9 months later they both popped kids, he moved to Georgia where the last of the Mormons that are in to polygamy have gone to. He raised his two children, with his two wives, they had more kids, then one wife got upset, killed them all, and escaped to Mexico, where three years later she was found, extradited, and sentenced to lethal injection, where she sits to this day.

Why? There wasn't any kooky or random events, at least no more then could actually happen in real life.

Sure I know what I did. There is no such thing as a story without conflict, and the story you were writing is standard, teeny bopper, boring, all drama, no consequence, crud. Dull to all but those living in a situation where that is the worst thing anyone has to face. It is just so dull to those of us who've been out there, worrying about paying the bills so we can keep our house, or finding out significant others have life threatening illnesses. Whether or not you are allowed to date someone just won't grab the attention of most over the age of 25. The thing is, random events made the story interesting, not because it could happen, but because it could not. Then working to try and keep the story semi-cohesive just made it more interesting. Other then Jane and Bob, who really cares whether or not they get to go to the prom?
