maybe i didnt understand fully what having insurance on my phone is.the guy who sold it to me said that if anything happens to my phone and he did say anything, that it would be replaced because i had insurance on it, for free. now my phone hasnt been working very well at all. dropping calls.not getting signal for hours on end, which by the way signal will be any where from full bars to none, sometimes i cant send texts, other times i get them from a couple days ago. my roomate has had similar problems and has had to replace his phone for techinal problems 3 times in the last 5 months. now when i called and wanted to get a phone replacement i was told i would have to pay $50 dollars for a new phone. i have been paying $5 a month since february of 06.so i have payed $65 so far to have insurance. im not quite understanding why the money cant A. be taken from that amount i've already payed or B. they couldnt just send me the phone like they should and not try to dime me around. and yes as soon as my two years are up im done with this service and going to verizon. and info much appreciated

Hate, to burst your bubble, but all insurance islike that, with all companies. there are only a few cases that they will replace it at no cost to you, usually you will have to pay a deductable.

Cell phone insurance is no different from any other kind of insurance, you pay a monthly fee and then when you want to use it you must pay the standard deductable. If you're phone is less than a year old and there is no damage make a warranty claim which is free.
