what firmware version u guys have?? press *#9999# to check...i heard the new version has digital zoom function..is there an update for it?

I have version 1.5. I just my v205 today from tmobile. Samsung's website does mention digital zoom for the v200 so one would think a brand new phone would have the feature. My in fact does not.

the guy you were talking to is wrong. thats i'm possible for the phone to do that. the camera lens doesnt have zoom features and the phone is not cabable to do digital zoom either.

My friend has a Singapore ver. of V-205 and can do 4X zoom-in and using easy gprs 2.12 to upload pic from phone to
computer...
I believe the hardware is exactly like v-205. But for sure if V-205 has
all these funtions, must got lock by t-mobile.
Let's wait for software cracker...

No need to wait for the crack.
I have done mine a week ago without problem.
All you have to do is just flash the v200 data into v205, then you can get the Zoom-In digital, plus all other fun stuffs.
You may read my thread in this forum "Time Display" for details.

The v205update version is v200.
Outlook of both phones is almost exactly the same.
To have the digital Zoom-In, just flash the v200 data file into v205 rom.
I have done mine without a problem at all.

Many people claimed they have flashed the firmware on a Samsung V205 to V200. However, no one has posted anything on:
Where to get the v200 firmware, where to ge the cables, instructions, etc.
Please let us know if you have these informations.

Guys, just got my V205, how exactly do you check what verson of firmware by pressing #9999#? Sorry a newbie question. Thanks for the help!

dont you mean flash the fone from a v205 to a v200?
