HELP
I have a Samsung u550 and I just bought a usb cable via ebay that of course came with no software. BIG MISTAKE
I cannot get this to work. I cannot find software.
Can anyone help me please?

I have the same problem. I've tried bitpim, samsung pc studio, and samsung contacts copier. Bitpim will detect the phone, but won't get data from it. Let me know if you get any where.

After installing bitpim and Samsung PC Studio, I got Windows to identify the hardware. (I suspect Samsung PC Studio did the trick.) Like cyberzen7, I can get bitpim to find the phone, but it can't get any data.
I can now use QPST EFS Explorer to look at the filesystem on the phone, but there doesn't appear to be any interesting data. I have several pictures I have taken with the phone, but I can't locate them. The directory structure is small, so I know I'm not overlooking them. I suspect my install of QPST doesn't fully support this model.

I have a Samsung U550.
The MobileAction cable and driver works for the U540 - we have 3 of those in the family - but not for the U550.
From what I can tell, there just aren't good drivers that let you get pictures off the U550 ?
