I was wondering why the texts between myself and certain people can take anywhere from 10 minutes all the way up to 3 or 4 hours to send and receive one message? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

try turning your phone off for a few minutes and then send a text.

Customer Service deletes your phone out of the network. When you turn your phone back on, it then needs to register again with the network. I am guessing that one tower has your phone "stuck" in its memory and that is why your texting is slow. Clearing it out of all towers is 99.9% sure to fix the problem.
