Had a ATT Tilt stolen right of the roof of my car in my drive way. Went around to the back yard for a 1/2 hour came back to get it, and someone driving by, stopped and helped them selves.
They mad one call to a town nearby. Would not anwwer the phone when I called it, and texted it. (Text msg received showed up online usage) (Kept ringing, so I know it was on.and ringing) About 4 hours later, straight to voice mail and phone is no mored.
ATT says they have no way of tracing phones. If I was a terrorist, drug dealer or had some political reason to be looked after, I bet they could/would.
Anyone got any advice to find my phone. Found this CELLTRACE online. But they dont tell you what they can actually do for you. If anything. Any comments on them.

You can always buy a GoPhone, often for $10 if you need a phone, and it comes with a SIM card in it.
Can they activate the sim in a GoPhone by transferring your old number to the new card?

Yes. as long as you do not follow the activation instructions on the box.just call 18003310500 and have that sim and IMEI activated your service manually

Also if you do get a replacement, I recommend putting insurance onto the device - yeah, $5 a month can seem a lot, plus the $50 deductable if you file a claim, but trust me, it can save a headache greatly.

I'm sure they would help you out if enough proof is provided, such as your social security, date of plan purchase, full name, city, state, etc.
Just call them again, and wait until a girl picks up the phone - their always nicer than the guys who work at ATT Customer Service/Tech Support.
